Aug. 24th, 2003 07:20 pmI picked up these two books at a rummage sale the other day while I was out. They aren't in the best of shape, but they looked so sad sitting in with the other new(er), glossy covered books. At a dollar per book, I figured I could afford to pick them up. They are The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne and The History of Henry Esmond, Esq. by W. M. Thackery. I think it would be fun to have the money to collect rare/historical books. But unless I marry rich, I doubt my income will ever be that disposable.
