Definitely monochromatic! It makes you think about where or when this picture was taken.. you kind of guess more than if you see the colour one right away..
The details in the monochromatic seem to make the bike completely different than in colour..
Great shot!

I second this. My eye wanders too much in the second picture - it's distracting.

I second the wandering bit... the colors not offering much information and the lines feel cleaner monochromatically.

Oh I like the second one. It's busy but the colour of the flashlight lense is gorgeous.

Definitely the monochromatic one. It's amazing how much different the image feels when it's monochromatic. Nice comparison.

Colour. Digital b&w conversions lack punch...

Definitely black and white. There's too much going on in the colour version.

Color.
The contrast between the natural and the mechanical is enhanced in every way. It's a matter of form vs. content. In this case I vote content.

color... unless you lighten the black & white maybe? I like the look of the metal in the second better.

i see what the above people mean about the monochromatic one, but i think i am more drawn to the color. those colors are beautiful, especially that greenish color on the far left.

i was going to say color, definitely but the monochromatic one is fantasic...leaves more to the imagination. when i saw the monochromatic one i imagined the spot that is green in the color one would be red.

Nope, it's an old green motorcycle. :) I didn't even have to play with the colors to change that.
